The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi has postponed computer science papers scheduled in Jhelum district for November 10, moving them to November 30 because of administrative and security arrangements for Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s expected visit.

The decision applies to computer science examinations for both morning and evening groups in the Intermediate Second Annual Examinations 2026. The papers will take place at the previously assigned examination centres on the revised date.

The postponement followed a recommendation from the Jhelum deputy commissioner, who informed the board that a substantial deployment of administrative and security personnel was expected for the chief minister’s planned visits to Jhelum and Pind Dadan Khan.

According to the district administration’s communication, the deployment would make it difficult to ensure the uninterrupted conduct of examinations in the district on the same day. The recommendation said rescheduling was necessary to prevent inconvenience to students and allow both the official visit and examinations to be managed smoothly.

BISE Rawalpindi’s controller of examinations issued the notification changing the schedule for Jhelum. A board spokesperson said the decision was confined to the district and did not affect candidates appearing at other centres under the Rawalpindi board’s jurisdiction.

Students in Jhelum will receive new roll number slips for the rescheduled papers, although the board has said previously issued slips will remain valid. Candidates should still confirm their examination centre and session details through the board’s official notices before the revised date.
