Rescue authorities said the fire started in the basement area that contains a generator and parking facility. Fire brigade teams initially dispatched three engines, later reinforced with two snorkels and additional fire tenders to contain the flames.
As a precaution, emergency crews evacuated residents to prevent injuries. Officials said at least 100 people were moved out safely and the surrounding area was cordoned off to facilitate rescue work. The cause of the fire was not immediately confirmed, and authorities said an investigation would follow once the situation stabilised.
The incident renewed concerns about emergency readiness after residents alleged that fire vehicles arrived without adequate fuel, prompting residents to arrange fuel on their own to keep the operation going.
