A new secure communication platform called “Beep” has been developed for government employees, with pilot usage now underway across select federal divisions, according to the National Information Technology Board (NITB).

Officials said the initial trial is running in the Cabinet Division, Planning Division, and IT Division. User accounts have been created for staff, and the platform is already being used for internal coordination and messaging.

Alongside the pilot, introductory briefings are being conducted in other ministries to familiarize employees with the app’s functions and workflows before any broader rollout.

The initiative is positioned as a dedicated, government-oriented alternative for official communications, with an emphasis on secure internal use during the testing phase.
