Key points
- Karachi is forecast to remain dry over the next three days, with maximum temperatures between 33°C and 35°C and minimums ranging from 21°C to 23°C.
- Winds may shift from north and northwest in the morning to west and southwest later in the day.
Karachi is expected to experience dry weather during the next three days, with daytime temperatures forecast to remain between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius. Night-time temperatures are likely to range from 21 to 23 degrees, according to the regional weather outlook.
The forecast indicates that winds will generally arrive from the north and northwest during the first half of the day. Their direction is expected to shift towards the west and southwest during the afternoon, producing a change in airflow without bringing a significant chance of rain to the metropolitan area.
Morning humidity is forecast to remain between approximately 65 and 80 per cent during the outlook period, while evening humidity may fall to between 30 and 40 per cent. The combination of warm daytime conditions and lower evening humidity is consistent with the dry-weather pattern expected across Karachi.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department said continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country, while a shallow westerly trough was affecting northern and western regions. Dry conditions are expected across most of Pakistan, although isolated light rain and snowfall over hills may occur in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and northern Balochistan.
Within Sindh, a weak westerly system may produce light rain in western areas of Qambar Shahdadkot and Dadu districts. Southern districts are expected to remain comparatively warm and dry, while upper and central parts of the province may experience cooler conditions during the night.
Residents should prepare for noticeable differences between daytime and night-time temperatures. The provincial forecast cautioned that greater temperature variation may affect people and livestock, particularly during the cooler overnight and early-morning periods.
No significant rainfall is forecast for Karachi during the three-day period. The official outlook instead points to stable, dry conditions, changing wind directions and temperatures remaining in the low-to-mid 30s during the day.
Weather forecasts can change as western systems develop or shift, so updated official bulletins remain important for residents planning travel or outdoor activities. The current outlook nevertheless indicates that Karachi’s immediate weather pattern will remain predominantly dry.
