The concept envisions a cashless system with digital ticketing, along with supporting infrastructure such as charging stations and depots. Authorities also indicated the tram network could be aligned with a proposed glass-train route toward Murree to enhance tourism connectivity and regional mobility.
After the feasibility report is completed, the project would move toward tendering and construction, with officials presenting the plan as a way to ease congestion and reduce emissions in the capital.
