DUBAI: Pakistani exports to the United Arab Emirates have increased by 22% over the past six months to reach $1 billion, as officials move to improve visa access for Pakistani traders and support participation in international exhibitions.
The figures were shared at a networking event held alongside the World Health Expo (WHX) Dubai 2026. The event was organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in coordination with the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai.
Pakistan’s consul general in Dubai, Hussain Muhammad, said the consulate is coordinating with UAE diplomatic missions in Islamabad and Karachi to help streamline visa facilitation for verified business applicants. He said the goal is to enable genuine traders to obtain visas quickly and take part in global exhibitions without administrative hurdles.
Pakistan’s Trade and Investment Counsellor in Dubai, Ali Zeb Khan, highlighted the export growth as a sign of strengthening commercial ties. The report said Pakistani firms also showcased products at WHX 2026 under a Pakistan Pavilion, using the platform to market “Made in Pakistan” offerings to international buyers.
Officials said continued engagement through trade events and improved mobility for businessmen could further expand bilateral commerce in coming months.
