A fresh western weather system entered Balochistan from Iran, triggering widespread rain and snowfall in multiple districts, including the provincial capital.
Snow was reported in Quetta, Ziarat and Kalat, where authorities said several inches accumulated overnight. Heavy rain also hit Chaman and nearby areas, flooding low-lying localities, while showers were recorded in Mastung, Noshki and Kharan. Gwadar and surrounding areas saw downpour accompanied by hail.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said the wet spell is expected to continue through Tuesday, with rain and snowfall forecast for parts of Balochistan as well as Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Islamabad region, including Murree and Galyat.
The Met Office also indicated intermittent showers could extend into Punjab, including cities such as Lahore and Multan. In the north, significant snowfall was reported in high-altitude areas, and the PMD reiterated earlier guidance that cold and partly cloudy conditions would prevail across much of Balochistan alongside strong winds and thunderstorm potential in several districts.
