Investigators have confirmed that the three suicide bombers who struck the Federal Constabulary Headquarters in Peshawar on November 24 were Afghan nationals, based on verification by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
Officials said more than 100 suspects have been questioned so far, while CCTV footage charted the attackers’ movement from Rehman Baba graveyard to the FC complex. The assailants did not carry mobile phones on the day of the attack, complicating efforts to trace their network.
The assault left three FC personnel martyred before security forces killed the attackers. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police chief Zulfiqar Hameed said investigators have gathered photographs, fingerprints and other material, including prints lifted from a motorcycle used by the militants.
Authorities are now focused on identifying facilitators and mapping how the bombers entered the city, as part of a wider security review.
