Kim Kardashian draws on divorce for 'All's Fair' legal drama role

Kim Kardashian says her turn as attorney Allura Grant in Ryan Murphy’s new legal drama, “All’s Fair,” draws heavily on real life. In a People digital cover conversation, the entrepreneur and law student explained that she channelled lessons from her own divorces and from powerhouse attorney Laura Wasser — who represented her in two of those cases and previously worked with her mother, Kris Jenner.

Kardashian recalled initially turning down Murphy’s early idea tied to her reality-TV world. He later returned with a legal-drama concept inspired by her seven-year law journey and built the cast first, then tailored scripts to each actor. The ensemble includes Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close, Niecy Nash-Betts and Teyana Taylor.

Framing the series as a story about women carving space in a male-dominated field, Kardashian said Wasser’s four decades of experience and fearlessness informed how she plays Allura. She added that her priority remains her four children with Kanye West — North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm — even as she explores scripted roles alongside her legal studies.
