Pakistan to shut airspace 6–9am on Oct 28–29: NOTAM

Pakistan will temporarily close its airspace for three hours on October 28 and 29—between 6am and 9am each day—under a NOTAM issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority, according to officials familiar with the matter. Airlines and operators were notified that the restriction applies on both days. Sources said the move was taken in light of potential Indian military exercises near the border. Indian media have reported tri-service drills, Trishul 2025, scheduled from October 30 to November 10, alongside time-bound airspace closures near Gujarat and Rajasthan. The exercises come amid ongoing tensions between the neighbours. Officials also referenced the year’s security backdrop in which cross-border incidents escalated before a ceasefire took hold in May. The NOTAM advises carriers to plan accordingly for the two short-duration closures.
