CDF Munir Reaffirms State's Priority for Peace and Prosperity in Balochistan

Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed that peace, prosperity and the well-being of Balochistan's people remain a central priority for the state. The military chief made the remarks during a visit to Quetta Garrison on September 5, where he reviewed the security environment and interacted with commanders and commanding officers of field formations.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations, Field Marshal Munir received a comprehensive briefing on the prevailing security situation in Balochistan, the operational preparedness of troops and measures being taken to maintain peace and stability across the province. The discussions also covered coordination among institutions and their role in supporting Balochistan's socio-economic development.

The field marshal praised the professionalism, readiness and commitment of troops deployed in the province. He stressed that continued cooperation among law enforcement agencies and other state institutions was essential to consolidate security gains and maintain conditions in which economic and development activity could proceed without disruption.

Field Marshal Munir said a stable and secure environment would help facilitate development projects, create economic opportunities and improve prospects for residents of Balochistan.
