Key points
- Pakistani digital lender AdalFi plans to raise up to Rs652 million through an initial public offering on the Pakistan Stock Exchange next month.
- The company intends to use the proceeds to expand its data-driven Islamic financing and small-business lending services.
Pakistani digital lending platform AdalFi is preparing to launch an initial public offering on the Pakistan Stock Exchange next month, with plans to raise as much as Rs652 million through the issuance of new shares. The proposed listing would provide capital for expanding the company’s Islamic financing and small-business lending services.
AdalFi operates as a subsidiary of technology company Techlogix and focuses on using data and artificial intelligence to support credit decisions. The company presents its technology as a way to improve access to formal financing for individuals and businesses that may be difficult for conventional lending systems to assess efficiently.
The platform follows a business-to-business-to-consumer model, working with banks rather than lending entirely through a standalone consumer operation. Its proprietary systems analyse financial transaction information already held by participating banks to evaluate borrowers, identify eligible customers and facilitate digital loan processing.
The company says its technology enables banks to conduct personalised marketing toward customers who meet defined lending criteria and provide loans in real time. Its credit-scoring process is also intended to help financial institutions monitor portfolio quality while reducing the time and manual work required to evaluate applications.
AdalFi previously raised $7.5 million in February 2023. That funding round included UAE-based COTU Ventures and Chimaera Ventures, Pakistan-based Fatima Gobi Ventures and Zayn Capital, as well as individual investors. The planned public offering would mark the company’s next major capital-raising step and expose it to public-market reporting and governance requirements.
The lender is targeting a substantial gap in Pakistan’s financial system, where only around 30% of adults have access to formal banking services. Limited credit histories, documentation challenges and the cost of assessing smaller borrowers can restrict conventional lending, particularly for small enterprises and consumers outside established banking relationships.
A successful offering would add a financial-technology business to the growing list of companies seeking capital through the domestic stock market. Pakistan’s IPO market has shown stronger activity during 2026, including large offerings and planned listings across manufacturing, agriculture and technology-related sectors.
Among the prominent transactions during the year, Service Long March Tyres raised Rs7.77 billion through an offering whose book-building allocation was rapidly subscribed. Ghani Dairies raised Rs3.44 billion and became Pakistan’s first listed corporate dairy farm, while other companies have also announced plans to raise capital through public listings.
For AdalFi, the proposed IPO would test investor appetite for a business built around digital credit assessment rather than traditional branch-based banking. Its ability to expand Islamic and small-business financing will depend not only on raising the targeted capital but also on maintaining credit quality, securing banking partnerships and demonstrating that its data-driven model can operate at greater scale.
Further details, including the final offer structure, pricing, subscription timetable and regulatory approvals, will determine how the listing proceeds. The company’s planned entry into the public market could also provide a reference point for other Pakistani fintech firms considering the stock exchange as a route for expansion capital.
