A government committee overseeing petrol prices has reviewed Pakistan's fuel stock levels, import plans and supply-chain arrangements in light of continued regional instability. The meeting was chaired virtually by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb as part of daily monitoring of energy-sector developments.
Officials briefed the committee on national crude and refined petroleum inventories, cargoes already in transit and additional shipments being arranged to reinforce reserves. Participants were told that current stocks remain comfortable and that supply channels are functioning without major disruption.
The review also covered volatility in international crude and refined product markets. Authorities said contingency planning is under way to shield Pakistan's energy security and broader economic stability from external shocks.
