The government has said the national supply chain for petrol and diesel remains stable following a meeting of the Petroleum Prices Monitoring Committee chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.
The committee reviewed movements in global oil prices, domestic petroleum stocks, refinery operations and the supply of petrol, diesel, aviation fuel and liquefied petroleum gas.
Officials described existing fuel stocks as satisfactory and said arrangements to maintain uninterrupted supply are in place. The government also signalled continued monitoring of global energy market developments and said petroleum availability is expected to remain steady in the coming weeks.
