“Pakistan’s car sales fell sharply from January levels in February 2026, though they remained well above last year’s numbers.”
Key points
- Pakistan’s car sales fell sharply from January levels in February 2026, though they remained well above last year’s numbers.
- The market continued to benefit from improving economic conditions despite the month-on-month slowdown.
Pakistan’s car market recorded sales of 17,121 units in February 2026, down 26% from the previous month but still sharply higher than the same month last year. The decline from January was attributed mainly to the usual post-new-year slowdown and fewer working days in February.
Despite the monthly drop, cumulative vehicle sales for the first eight months of FY26 rose strongly on an annual basis, reflecting lower inflation, easing interest rates, improving macroeconomic sentiment and the effect of new market entrants.
Major assemblers posted mixed monthly performances. Pak Suzuki remained the volume leader, while other manufacturers such as Indus Motor, Honda Atlas and Sazgar also contributed to the broader year-on-year increase in sales.
