Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) reported a successful test of a new development well, Dars West-3, in the Tando Allah Yar district of Sindh, signaling additional domestic hydrocarbon potential.
In a filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the company said the well was drilled to 2,100 meters in the Lower Goru Formation’s C-Sands and was tested using in-house technical resources.
The test produced 9.70 million standard cubic feet of gas per day along with 580 barrels per day of condensate at a 36/64-inch choke. OGDC recorded a wellhead flowing pressure of 1,725 psi from the Lower Goru C-Sand reservoir.
OGDC said pipeline work is underway to route production to the KPD–TAY processing plant before supply is injected into Sui Southern Gas Company Limited’s transmission network. The Dars West lease is operated by OGDC with a 77.5% working interest, while Government Holdings Private Limited holds 22.5%.
