BRUSSELS: Pakistan and the European Union reaffirmed a broad, forward-looking partnership at their seventh Strategic Dialogue, co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and EU High Representative and Vice President Kaja Kallas.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, both sides reviewed ties across trade, investment, climate, regional security and connectivity, underscoring the role of the EU’s GSP+ arrangement in driving export diversification and job creation. They also exchanged views on developments in South Asia, Afghanistan and the Middle East.
The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation under the Strategic Engagement Plan, advance work on ongoing dialogues and identify concrete avenues for collaboration. Dar also met several counterparts on the sidelines of the EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum.
