Pakistan received $3.4 billion in workers? remittances in October 2025, a 12% rise from a year earlier and 7% higher than September, according to State Bank of Pakistan data released Friday.
Cumulative inflows for July?October FY26 reached $13 billion, up 9.3% from $11.9 billion in the same period last year. The largest contributions came from Saudi Arabia ($820.9 million), the United Arab Emirates ($697.7 million), the United Kingdom ($487.7 million) and the United States ($290 million).
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked overseas Pakistanis, calling them an invaluable asset whose support strengthens the external account and foreign exchange buffers. He expressed hope the positive momentum will persist, helping stabilise the economy.
