US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said Washington and Beijing agreed to revive military-to-military communication channels aimed at deconfliction and de-escalation, following recent discussions with Chinese Defence Minister Dong Jun.
The agreement, reached on the sidelines of a regional summit in Malaysia a day after talks between President Donald Trump and President Xi Jinping in South Korea, would reinstate contact mechanisms that have lapsed at times.
