Pakistan Railways has announced four special trains for Eid-ul-Fitr to manage the seasonal rush and ease long-distance travel for passengers across the country.
According to the schedule released by railway authorities, the first special train will leave Lahore for Karachi on March 16. The second will depart from Quetta for Rawalpindi on March 17, while the third will travel from Karachi to Peshawar the same day. The fourth special service will run from Karachi to Lahore on March 18.
Officials said the decision was taken on the instructions of the railways minister to provide additional capacity during the Eid holidays, when intercity passenger demand rises sharply.
