Six policemen martyred in Lakki Marwat blast

At least six police personnel were martyred and another officer was injured when an explosion struck near a police vehicle in the Bettani area of Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Officials said the blast occurred close to a police mobile, causing heavy casualties among the officers on duty.

Police authorities said additional contingents were rushed to the scene to secure the area and support the response operation. Security measures were tightened following the attack as investigators began assessing the circumstances and possible perpetrators.

The incident adds to continuing security concerns in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where law enforcement personnel have repeatedly come under attack during field operations and patrol movement.
