Pakistan has enough stocks of ghee and edible oil to meet domestic demand for the next two months despite regional uncertainty and concerns about possible supply disruptions, industry representatives said.

The chairman of the Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association said the country’s supply position remains secure and that local manufacturers are holding sufficient quantities of raw material as well as finished products.

He added that multiple consignments of edible oil and oilseeds are already en route to Pakistan by sea and are expected to arrive on schedule, after which they will be supplied to industry and released into the market.
