CNG stations shut in Sindh and Balochistan during Ramadan

CNG stations across Sindh and Balochistan have been closed after gas supplies to the sector were suspended during Ramadan. The move was taken to prioritise uninterrupted gas delivery to domestic consumers, particularly during Sehr and Iftar hours.

According to Sui Southern Gas Company, household and commercial users are being given preference as demand patterns shift during the fasting month. Even with that adjustment, supply shortages are continuing outside the peak meal-time windows.

The shutdown affects transport users and station operators in both provinces and comes at a time when broader fuel availability and energy costs are already under pressure. The decision underscores the strain on Pakistan's energy distribution system during periods of seasonal and regional stress.
