BANNU/MANSEHRA: Lieutenant Colonel Shahzada Gul Faraz, who was martyred in an attack on a security forces convoy in Bannu, was laid to rest in Mansehra with full military honours.
Family members, military officers and local residents attended his funeral prayers.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said the officer’s courage and sacrifice would be remembered.
According to ISPR, the attack also martyred a soldier, while security forces responded promptly and killed five militants during subsequent action, preventing a larger incident.
