Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Tuesday rejected reports suggesting a military operation is underway in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Tirah Valley, saying the area has not seen such an operation for years.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad alongside Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and the prime minister’s special assistant for information and KP affairs, Ikhtiar Wali Khan, Asif said recent movement of people should be viewed as a routine, seasonal shift driven by harsh winter conditions.
