Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah accused the “past establishment” that backed the PTI government of inflicting political and economic damage, while insisting the current administration’s priority is stabilisation rather than retribution. He said the coalition expects to complete its term with the support of allies, including the PPP.
Sanaullah confirmed consultations with the PPP over a possible change of Sindh’s governor, adding that disagreements were being addressed. He also dismissed the IMF’s governance assessment as insignificant and said no corruption scandals had emerged under the present setup.
Addressing speculation about Imran Khan’s status in Adiala jail, he said there was no proposal to transfer the former premier and claimed Khan was healthy and exercising. He further alleged India was fomenting mischief via Afghanistan but added that Islamabad does not seek confrontation.
