Pakistan’s military said eighteen India-backed militants were killed in two intelligence-based operations in Balochistan. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) detailed that troops engaged suspected militants in the Chiltan Mountains near Quetta, killing fourteen after an intense exchange of fire.
In a second raid in Buleda, Kech district, security forces destroyed a hideout and neutralised four more militants. A cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives was recovered in follow-up searches, the statement added.
ISPR said sanitisation operations are continuing in the wider area to eliminate remaining threats. It reiterated that the nationwide counterterrorism drive under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam” will press ahead to dismantle externally sponsored networks.
Authorities linked the slain men to attacks carried out under the India-sponsored banner “Fitna al-Hindustan,” alleging their involvement in multiple terrorist incidents across the province.
