Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski will arrive in Pakistan on Thursday for a two-day official visit from October 23 to 24, the Foreign Office said. He is traveling at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, and this will be Sikorski’s second visit to Pakistan after a previous trip in 2011.
Dar is scheduled to meet Sikorski one-on-one and lead delegation-level talks, with a joint press stakeout planned afterwards. The agenda, according to the FO, spans the full spectrum of bilateral ties, including political engagement, trade, defence and education.
The ministry said relations have broadened in recent years, and noted that bilateral trade reached $922 million in 2023, with Pakistan’s exports at $794 million and imports from Poland at $128 million. In July, both sides held the ninth round of Bilateral Political Consultations in Warsaw, agreeing to deepen cooperation and facilitate exchanges, including high-level visits and parliamentary contacts.
