Imran tells Aleema and KP CM Gandapur to end public feud

Seeking to cool tensions within the party, PTI founder Imran Khan directed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and his sister Aleema Khan to refrain from public criticism of each other, according to Senator Ali Zafar after meeting Khan at Adiala Jail.

Zafar said the chief minister was urgently summoned for a meeting, but there was no discussion about removing him from office.Imran, Zafar added, reminded party leaders that administrative disagreements should be handled internally. He also nominated Mahmood Khan Achakzai to act as opposition leader until Omar Ayub’s legal matters are resolved.Separately, the PTI founder overhauled his coordination structure for legal assistance and meetings. Responsibilities held by Niazullah Niazi and Intazar Panjutha were withdrawn, and a new four-member coordinator team was appointed to manage engagements.

The move follows Gandapur’s public warning about “vloggers” sowing divisions and allegedly promoting Aleema Khan for senior roles. He also pointed to commentary by columnist Hafeezullah Niazi, which he said fed perceptions of internal rifts. Party representatives emphasised the need to keep disputes off public platforms while focusing on organisational discipline.
