Pakistan Day parade called off amid Gulf crisis austerity

The federal government has cancelled this year's Pakistan Day parade and related ceremonial events, citing austerity measures linked to the ongoing Gulf crisis.

Geo News reported that the Prime Minister's Office said March 23 would instead be observed with dignity and reverence through a simple flag-hoisting ceremony. The annual parade is normally marked by military flypasts, marching contingents and cultural displays.
