The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Bangladesh, leaving out batter Babar Azam and all-rounder Saim Ayub from the selection.

According to the PCB, all three matches will be staged at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka between March 11 and March 15. Left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi will continue as Pakistan’s ODI captain for the tour.

The squad includes six uncapped players: Abdul Samad, Maaz Sadaqat, Muhammad Ghazi Ghori, Saad Masood, Sahibzada Farhan and Shamyl Hussain. The board indicated the selections are aimed at expanding the player pool ahead of future assignments.

Pakistan’s selected ODI squad is: Shaheen Shah Afridi (captain), Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Faisal Akram, Haris Rauf, Hussain Talat, Maaz Sadaqat, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Muhammad Ghazi Ghori (wk), Saad Masood, Sahibzada Farhan, Salman Ali Agha and Shamyl Hussain.

Series schedule: March 11 (1st ODI), March 13 (2nd ODI), March 15 (3rd ODI) — all in Dhaka.
