KARACHI: The new franchise entering the Pakistan Super League’s 11th edition under the Rawalpindi banner has formally announced its team name.
The owners had earlier acquired the former Multan Sultans franchise for Rs2.45 billion and later changed the city identity from Multan to Rawalpindi.
On Sunday, the franchise revealed the official name as “Pindiz” through a 25-second social media video showcasing well-known locations across Rawalpindi, paired with high-energy music.
In the accompanying message, the franchise said the team is arriving with a fearless mindset, ready to challenge rivals, bring fresh excitement and “change the game.”
The franchise also said a team logo would be unveiled soon. PSL 11 is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3.
