The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) extended the admissions deadline for medical and dental colleges nationwide for the 2025–26 academic session.

According to the council’s notification dated February 19, 2026, the decision was taken in a meeting held on February 10, and the revised timeline allows institutions to complete admissions through March 31, 2026. The extension applies to both public and private sector medical and dental colleges across the country.

PMDC directed that admissions must be conducted strictly under the PMDC Admissions Regulations, 2025, along with subsequent council decisions. The regulator also stated that no further extension will be granted beyond March 31, 2026.

The notification was circulated to vice chancellors of admitting universities, heads of PMDC-recognized colleges, and relevant PMDC departments for implementation.
