Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met Jordan’s King Abdullah II in Amman, where both sides agreed to boost cooperation in defence and security, according to an ISPR statement. Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II also attended the meeting. ISPR said the army chief reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, while the king—who is the supreme commander of the Jordanian armed forces—praised the professionalism of Pakistan’s military and its contributions to regional stability. Munir also met senior Jordanian defence officials and received a Guard of Honour at General Headquarters during the visit.
