Gold prices climbed sharply in Pakistan on Friday, September 25, with 24-karat gold gaining Rs4,700 per tola to reach Rs453,036. The increase reversed part of the recent pressure on bullion prices and brought renewed attention to the domestic precious-metals market as international gold also moved higher during the session.

The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs4,029 to Rs388,404. Based on the reported daily change, the same quantity had been priced at Rs384,375 before Friday's increase. The 22-karat rate for 10 grams rose by Rs3,694 to Rs356,050, highlighting a broad upward movement across commonly quoted gold categories in the local market.

Friday's increase amounted to roughly one percent in the benchmark per-tola rate. The move took 24-karat gold from an implied previous level of Rs448,336 to Rs453,036, adding Rs4,700 to the cost of the traditional unit widely used for bullion and jewellery pricing in Pakistan.

International bullion moved in the same direction. Gold rose by $47 per ounce to $4,305 in the international market, compared with an implied previous level of $4,258. The simultaneous increase in domestic and international rates showed that Friday's advance was not limited to Pakistan's local bullion market.

Silver also recorded significant gains. The price of silver increased by Rs126 per tola to Rs6,963, while 10 grams rose by Rs108 to Rs5,969. International silver advanced by $1.26 to $64.85 per ounce, extending the day's upward movement across both major precious metals.

For consumers in Pakistan, the higher rates directly increase the rupee amount required to purchase standard quantities of gold and silver. The movement is particularly relevant for jewellery buyers, bullion traders and households that follow precious metals as a store of value. A change of several thousand rupees per tola can quickly alter purchase costs for larger jewellery or investment transactions.

The latest figures also illustrate the continued volatility in precious-metal prices. Gold has experienced substantial swings during recent weeks, meaning daily changes in international bullion can translate into noticeable movements in Pakistan's quoted market rates. Friday's rise therefore marks another significant adjustment rather than a return to a fixed price level.

Market participants will now watch the next round of domestic bullion quotations and international precious-metal trading to determine whether Friday's rebound continues or reverses. Updated rates for gold and silver are expected to remain closely followed by buyers, jewellers and investors as global bullion prices continue to fluctuate.
