Gujranwala Teen Killed After Sisters Clash Over TikTok Followers

GUJRANWALA: Police have arrested an 18-year-old woman after her 15-year-old younger sister was allegedly stabbed to death following a dispute involving TikTok followers and financial matters in Gujranwala. The incident occurred at the family's home within the jurisdiction of Ladhewala Warraich police, turning an argument between the two sisters into a criminal investigation that has drawn attention because of its reported social-media connection.

According to police and the complaint lodged by the girls' father, Abdul Shakoor, the family had guests at the house when the confrontation took place. Shakoor, who works as a driver and has six daughters and a son, told police that he was on the ground floor when he heard cries coming from the upper portion of the residence.

When the father reached the upper floor, he allegedly found his younger daughter, Manahil, seriously wounded after being attacked with a kitchen knife. Family members rushed the teenager to a nearby hospital, but she died after suffering severe blood loss. Police subsequently registered a case in connection with the killing and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the confrontation.

The father's account indicated that the sisters had been arguing over financial matters. Investigators and people familiar with the family, however, also linked the dispute to their activity on TikTok. Both sisters had reportedly been using the social-media platform in an effort to generate income as their family faced financial difficulties.

Police said the elder sister had accused Manahil of taking or "stealing" followers from her TikTok presence. The disagreement over online followers was cited as one of the issues behind the confrontation, although investigators are responsible for establishing the full sequence of events and motive through evidence collected in the case. Authorities have not publicly announced a final investigative conclusion beyond the allegations contained in the complaint and initial police findings.

Ladhewala Warraich police said the suspect had been arrested and the knife allegedly used in the attack had been recovered. The father reportedly handed his elder daughter over to police after the incident. The case therefore places investigators in the unusual position of examining a fatal confrontation within the same household, with one daughter dead and another facing criminal proceedings.

The killing has generated particular attention because investigators linked the sisters' dispute to attempts to earn money through social media. While the reported argument involved TikTok followers, the father's complaint also referred to financial disagreements, making both aspects relevant to the continuing investigation. No further official findings regarding additional participants or another motive were reported.

Police are expected to continue the case through the criminal justice process after registering the complaint, arresting the suspect and recovering the alleged weapon.
