Two Bodies Found Inside Parked Car In Karachi’s Clifton
Two men were found dead inside a parked vehicle in Karachi’s Clifton area on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, after residents of Sea View Apartments near Nishan-e-Pakistan alerted police about a strong foul smell coming from a garage. The discovery has triggered a police investigation into the circumstances that led to the deaths.
According to police, the bodies were recovered from a car parked inside the apartment complex’s garage. Initial observations suggested that both men may have been dead for one to two days before the smell drew attention from residents and prompted them to inform authorities.
Darakhshan Police Station SHO Rashid Ali said one of the deceased was identified as 34-year-old Asadullah, a resident of Sherin Jinnah Colony in Gulshan Sikandarabad, Keamari. He was reportedly employed as a driver by an elderly resident of the apartment building, while the second man, believed to be around 20 to 22 years old, had not been identified immediately.
Police said Asadullah was found in the driver’s seat, while the younger unidentified man was discovered in the rear seat. Both bodies were reportedly found in a semi-naked condition, a detail investigators are expected to examine carefully as they reconstruct the sequence of events before the deaths.
After reaching the location, police called the crime scene unit to collect evidence from the vehicle and surrounding area. The car was later removed from the garage, and the bodies were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medico-legal procedures and post-mortem examinations.
SHO Rashid Ali said the preliminary investigation pointed toward suffocation as a possible cause of death. However, he cautioned that the final determination would only be made after the post-mortem report and forensic findings are completed.
The incident has raised concern because a similar case was reported last year in the same apartment complex, where the bodies of a man and a woman were found inside a parked vehicle. Police at the time had recovered the bodies from a white Prado in the parking area of Block 28 of Sea View Apartments.
For Karachi, the latest case adds to public unease over unexplained deaths in residential parking spaces and the security arrangements of large apartment complexes. Investigators will likely assess whether the car was running, whether toxic fumes were involved, and whether any signs of foul play emerge from the medical examination.
