Kot Addu Canal Crash Death Toll Rises to Six as Children Missing

A wedding party’s journey turned into a tragedy in Punjab’s Kot Addu district after a rickshaw carrying guests fell into the Muzaffargarh Canal, with rescue teams confirming that the death toll has now climbed to six. The latest update came on Tuesday after more bodies were recovered from the canal following the previous day’s accident.

According to rescue authorities, three additional bodies were pulled from the water during the continuing search operation. Officials said the victims include women and children, making the incident one of the most painful local tragedies reported from the region today.

The accident involved a rickshaw carrying members of a wedding party when it reportedly went out of control and plunged into the canal. Rescue teams had earlier managed to save 11 people, but the operation did not end there because several children remained unaccounted for after the vehicle fell into the water.
