Govt Announces Six-Salary Bonus for Budget Staff

Federal Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb has announced a special bonus for officers and employees of different government departments who were involved in the federal budget process, making it one of the latest major financial developments from Islamabad on Saturday. The announcement came during the budget session in Parliament after the completion of formal approval procedures for the federal budget 2026-27.

According to the announcement, eligible officers and employees will receive a special bonus equal to six basic salaries. The finance minister said the payment would be made along with salary, recognising the work of officials who remained engaged in preparing, processing and completing the budget exercise.
