Karachi likely to get rain as April begins, says Met Office

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast rain for Karachi on April 2 and 3 as a westerly weather system approaches the country.

Officials said the city is expected to remain partly cloudy and pleasant over the next three days before the system begins affecting Sindh. The department said the broader weather pattern may start influencing Pakistan from April 1 and could bring rain, gusty winds and thunderstorms to several areas.

For Karachi, forecasters said the exact intensity will become clearer as the system moves closer, but current projections suggest the port city could see rainfall later this week and remain under the system's influence as it affects upper and other parts of the country through April 5.
