CDA says plot handovers in Islamabad’s E-12 may start soon
The Capital Development Authority is preparing to begin handing over plots in Islamabad’s E-12 sector within one to two months as development work advances in the area.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi told the National Assembly that work in E-12/1 has been completed on available land, while E-12/2 and E-12/3 are nearing completion. He said possession would be given where land is clear and development has been finalized.
Officials said illegal encroachments remain one of the biggest reasons for delay. CDA, the Islamabad administration, and police are continuing operations to clear occupied land so pending work can move ahead.
The minister added that E-12/4 remains stuck due to older land disputes and unlawful occupation. Development in that sub-sector is expected to begin once the land is fully recovered.
