Karachi may get Eid rain as fresh weather system nears

A new weather alert suggests Karachi could see rain with thunder and lightning around Eid, while broader parts of Sindh and Punjab may also receive showers.

Geo News said the Met Office expects Karachi to stay mostly dry in the short term, but conditions may change on the first day of Eid as a westerly system influences weather across the country. Rain is also likely in districts such as Sukkur, Jacobabad, Larkana and Hyderabad, with a risk of lightning in some areas.

Punjab is also under watch for rain and possible hail in isolated places. Lahore may receive drizzle on Chand Raat, and another weather spell later in the month could bring more rain to Karachi and other parts of Sindh.
