Pakistan pauses Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq for Eid

Pakistan has announced a temporary halt in Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, describing the move as a goodwill step taken in view of the religious occasion and diplomatic outreach from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkiye.

According to the official position carried by Dunya News, the pause began from the midnight between March 18 and 19 and will remain in place until the midnight between March 23 and 24. Authorities said the suspension applies to ongoing action against militant elements and support infrastructure across the border.

The government also made clear that the pause is conditional rather than open-ended. Officials warned that any cross-border aggression, drone intrusion or terrorist attack inside Pakistan would lead to an immediate resumption of the operation.
