Female suicide bomber arrested in Khuzdar, says Bugti
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said security forces arrested a female suicide bomber in Khuzdar, preventing what he described as a dangerous terrorist attack. He called the operation a major success and said it had saved lives by disrupting an imminent plot.
According to the provincial leadership, the suspect told investigators she had been recruited by a militant commander and prepared for a suicide mission. Authorities believe the case points to a wider recruitment and facilitation network involving extremist groups.
Bugti also warned that vulnerable youth, including women, are being targeted for radicalization. He said the government would continue intelligence-led operations, expand rehabilitation measures and strengthen community awareness efforts to counter militant propaganda and prevent further recruitment.
