Karachi Rangers detain seven in major Topi Gang raid

Karachi Rangers say they have detained seven members of the so-called Topi Gang in a major operation in Korangi, describing the group as a long-running network involved in street crime and theft. Weapons, cash and mobile phones were seized during the raid.

Officials told Dunya News that the suspects were linked to robberies, motorcycle theft and pickpocketing, and that the gang had been associated with more than 900 criminal incidents across Sindh since 2018. Investigators said the group’s activities stretched beyond Karachi to areas including Sukkur, Kandhkot and Rohri.

The arrests are being presented as a significant law-enforcement breakthrough, but authorities say the operation is not over. Further raids are underway to capture additional accomplices and widen the investigation into the gang’s criminal network.
